A few words about Coach Carter
A Nashville native, husband, father, and friend whose life has been one long lesson in pivoting toward purpose.
Demitri came up at Hillsboro High as a standout student-athlete, earning a football scholarship to Lane College in Jackson, TN, before transferring to Middle Tennessee State University. When an injury redirected his path, he leaned into the classroom and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
That degree opened the door to nine years as a peace officer for the City of Brentwood, then a chapter as an educator teaching Criminal Justice and Forensic Science. From there, a leadership role with Nissan took him to Jackson, MS, and eventually back home to Middle Tennessee four years later.
Today, Demitri runs a Last Mile Delivery logistics business and pours the same drive into speaking, coaching, and mentoring. His journey is the message: every setback is a setup, every detour is direction, and your testimony is the tool that sets someone else free.
